What’s New in the VAPORESSO XROS 3 NANO? A Comprehensive Review

The VAPORESSO XROS 3 NANO is the latest addition to the XROS series, following the XROS NANO. While the design has slightly evolved and now includes a metallic lanyard, most features remain the same as its predecessor. It has a 1000 mAh battery, uses the same pods (now including a 0.6-ohm pod and an updated 0.8-ohm pod), and features an airflow slider. The main difference is a slightly looser airflow to support restricted direct lung (RDL) vaping.

Build quality and design

The XROS 3 NANO boasts excellent build quality, with hard plastic sides and metallic front and back panels. While the branding is a bit overdone (large logo and laser-etched text), it’s subtle and visible only at certain angles. Some color options are uniform, while others, like Bondi Blue and Lemon Yellow, feature dual tones, which are particularly striking. The pod fits securely with no wobble, the airflow slider is sturdy, and the included metallic lanyard is functional, even if you’re not typically a fan of lanyards.

Getting started

The XROS 3 NANO is simple to use: remove the pod’s mouthpiece, take out the bottom sticker, fill it with e-juice, and let it sit for five minutes to saturate the wick. Adjust the airflow with the slider, then inhale to vape. It’s straightforward and user-friendly.

Performance

The XROS 3 NANO delivers strong coil performance, similar to the XROS 3. The 0.6-ohm pod works best for loose MTL with the airflow closed, offering great flavor, though it’s too tight for true RDL without slipstreaming. For very restricted DL, fully open airflow might suffice, but more airflow options would have been ideal.

The 0.8-ohm pod excels at MTL with tighter airflow and great flavor, making it perfect for freebase juices or low-strength nic salts. It performed well with 7 mg freebase and should work great with 20 mg salts. Coil life is impressive, lasting beyond a 10 mL bottle of e-juice.

Battery life and charging

The XROS 3 NANO’s 1000 mAh battery offers excellent life, lasting through 3–3.5 mL of e-juice before needing a recharge. An LED line pulses during vaping and displays the battery level after each puff

Green: 70-100%

Blue: 30-70%

Red: 0-30%

The XROS 3 NANO charges fully in 55 minutes, with a listed 1A charge rate. While specs may vary slightly, it charges quickly given its excellent battery life.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Cons

  • Great build quality
  • Practical shape
  • Compact and lightweight
  • Dual-colored options look great
  • Very easy to use
  • Airflow adjustability
  • The 0.6-ohm pod can do a bit of RDL if you slipstream it
  • The 0.8-ohm pod is great for low-strength salts
  • Not a big update over the original XROS NANO
  • Excessive branding (although it is semi-transparent)

CONCLUSION

The XROS 3 NANO offers minimal upgrades over the original NANO, with RDL capability being the main addition—though it’s better suited for tight MTL vaping. It features stylish design, excellent flavor, great battery life, long-lasting coils, adjustable airflow, and easy operation. With COREX tech coils, it’s among the best pod vapes, making it a top pick for square pod devices.
