Vandy Vape Kylin M AIO Pros & Cons: Is It the Best AIO Mod Right Now?

The Vandy Vape Kylin M AIO is a 70W Billet Box-style device designed to be fully rebuildable. Unlike most AIOs that offer only one or two build options, the Kylin M gives you three: mesh builds using a mini Profile-style deck, single coil builds, and a pod with a pre-built coil. With this versatility, does it stand out as the best AIO on the market? Let’s find out.

Build quality and design

The Kylin M AIO feels solid and well-built, with a bit of weight that adds to its premium feel. It comes in eye-catching finishes like Wormhole and Phantom Moonlight, featuring unique patterns and color effects. One panel shows a bold “Kylin” logo, while the other has decorative designs that appear sticker-like.

Powered by a single 18650 battery, the screen and buttons are tucked behind the battery door. The small screen is clear and displays wattage, resistance, voltage, battery level, and changes based on the mode (VV or TC). The pod with pre-built coils holds 2.5 mL, while the RBA pod holds 5 mL.

The device stands 81.3 mm tall (100.8 mm with drip tip), 46.5 mm wide, and 24.5 mm deep, weighing 200 grams without the battery. Juice levels are visible through a side window. Pods snap in securely without magnets, but the battery door uses strong magnets and fits tightly with no rattle. It includes a comfortable 510 acrylic drip tip and a responsive fire

Getting started

The adjustments for the device are as follows:

    • Five clicks of the fire button turn the device on/off
    • Three clicks to change modes
    • Up or down to change wattage, voltage, or temperature
    • Up and down at the same time for puff counter, stat, version, and TCR
    • Fire button and up at the same time to lock the device
    • Fire button and down at the same time to flip the screen

The Kylin M AIO includes a puff timer with a horizontal progress bar when you fire it. Navigating the settings is simple after a few uses. Once set, you likely won’t need to adjust it often. Locking the buttons requires removing the panel, but it’s easier to just turn the device off. The fire button only works when pressed at the top, reducing the risk of accidental firing.

Replacing the pod is easy—just pull it out at an angle. To change a pre-built coil, remove it from the bottom, unscrew it, replace it, and push it back in. Filling is done via a marked silicone plug.

Performance

The Kylin M AIO comes with two pre-built coils, and they are both the 0.3-ohm mesh coil rated at 35-45 watts. It also comes with a Ni80 triple-core fused Clapton coil that is 0.23 ohms and four different mesh strips:

    • A1 mesh (0.2 ohms, 40-60 watts)
    • SS316L mesh (0.15 ohms, TC, 360-420F)
    • Dual mesh (0.15 ohms, 50-70 watts)
    • Ni80 mesh (0.15 ohms, 45-65 watts)

The 0.3-ohm mesh coil delivers a smooth, restricted DL draw with solid flavor—typical for mesh coils in this type of device. You can adjust the airflow for a tighter pull, but the wide-bore drip tip isn’t ideal for true MTL.

It handles up to 80 VG e-liquids well, though max VG might be too thick. For a stronger throat hit, you may need to increase your nicotine level—for example, from 3 mg to 6 mg, or use 20 mg salt nic. Overall, the coil performs well.

Battery life and charging

The Kylin M AIO uses a removable 18650 battery behind the panel, accessible via a pull strap. While polarity is marked, it’s hard to see—black symbols on a black surface—so marking them yourself may help. Just remember: positive end goes up.

Battery life is impressive; with a 45W fused Clapton coil, it lasted me three days. Of course, results vary by usage and battery type.

It charges via USB-C at up to 1.5A and supports passthrough vaping. Charging is indicated with a flashing battery icon or percentage display. While an external charger is preferred, using the Type-C port works fine and should fully charge in a couple of hours.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Cons

  • Good build quality
  • Nice finishes
  • Fits easily in your pocket
  • Replaceable 510 drip tips
  • Easy to operate
  • RBA pod holds 5 mL of liquid
  • Easy to replace coils
  • Easy to replace pods
  • RBA deck easy to build on
  • Battery polarity markers hard to see
  • Not as satisfying with prebuilt or mesh coils
  • Not really good for MTL
  • No individual setting for wires in TC (only TCR)

CONCLUSION

The Kylin M AIO is excellent for direct lung (DL) vaping, but not ideal for MTL due to its wide-bore drip tip and airflow design—though swapping the tip may help. Flavor from the RBA pod is impressive, comparable to a dripper, and you can even use it as one.

It’s a compact, well-built device with smooth airflow, great finishes, and plenty of coil options. Perfect for builders or anyone wanting a pocket-friendly AIO with versatility. If that’s what you’re after, the Kylin M AIO won’t disappoint.
