Build quality and design
The ARGUS POD SE is a compact, user-friendly pod system with a simple rectangular design and a small air slider for MTL to restricted DL vaping. It features three LED battery indicators and comes in five colors—shiny blue, shiny orange, and leather-accented brown, red, and black. The shiny blue variant has a sleek teal finish with subtle design details in the right light.

Getting started
The ARGUS POD SE is a simple, button-free pod system—just inhale to vape. Perfect for beginners.
The ARGUS G adds an all-in-one button for power (5 clicks) and wattage adjustment (3 clicks) but still works with inhale activation. Wattage stays within safe limits for the coils, making it beginner-friendly.
Both devices use magnetic pods that attach securely with no wiggle. The side-fill pod has a black rubber plug and a light tint, making e-liquid levels easy to check.
Ideal for new vapers or those wanting a compact, low-vapor device for all-day use.
Performance
Having tested these coils before with the ARGUS P1, I was eager to see if they remained consistent.
Both kits include two pods: 0.7Ω and 1.2Ω. There’s also an optional pod for ITO replaceable coils.
Using 50/50 20-24 mg nic salt juice, the 0.7Ω coil lasted 20mL—outperforming the average 10-15mL and even exceeding VOOPOO’s 14mL claim. Flavor was great, though I found it better for loose MTL rather than DL.
The 1.2Ω pod also lasted 20mL, with similar flavor. I prefer it for this device, but both perform well. Overall, the coils deliver great longevity and flavor.
Battery life and charging
The ARGUS SE features an 800mAh internal battery with a USB-C port at the bottom. I tested the charge rate and found it maxes out at 0.7A, which is slightly lower than the typical 1A.
It takes about 70 minutes to charge, which is decent but not super fast. The actual battery capacity was around 700mAh, which is about 12.5% lower than the rated value, making the rating fairly accurate.

CONCLUSION
Overall, VOOPOO has created two solid pod systems. It’s a matter of whether you prefer the smaller, cheaper SE with a smaller battery, or the G version with a bigger battery, screen, adjustable wattage, and better airflow. I personally prefer the G, but the SE still offers a great vape. Both are well-built, take excellent coils, and are perfect for those seeking a medium-to-loose MTL vape in a compact design.
