The OSMALL 2 is VAPORESSO’s simple, budget-friendly pod vape—no buttons, no settings, just inhale to vape. It works with original OSMALL pods and includes a new 1.2-ohm pod for improved performance.
VAPORESSO has upgraded the OSMALL with a sturdier zinc alloy body, Type-C charging, a larger 450 mAh battery, and improved leak protection. It remains a lightweight, budget-friendly MTL pod vape designed for high-nicotine e-liquids. The OSMALL 2 includes a 2 mL magnetized pod with a new 1.2-ohm coil, though it’s compatible with original OSMALL pods.
While the previous version had flax fiber wicking and handled high VG juice well, the new wicking material isn’t specified. I enjoyed the original despite its cheap feel and leaking issues—let’s see if this update fixes those flaws.

Build quality and design
The OSMALL 2 is a well-needed upgrade to VAPORESSO’s solid MTL pod vape. It keeps the same compact design but replaces the plastic body with a sturdier zinc alloy and a stylish water-flow texture. The build quality feels more premium while maintaining its affordability.
A key improvement is the addition of a Type-C pass-thru charging port, a feature missing in the original. Instead of reinventing the OSMALL, VAPORESSO refined it—perfect for those who liked the first but wanted better durability and charging.
Getting started
Unbox the OSMALL 2, remove the pod and its seal, then fill it with e-liquid. Let it sit for a few minutes to saturate the wick.
To refill, lift the top of the plug with your nail—pulling from the bottom may dislodge it completely, which can be tricky to reinsert.
The device comes pre-charged and features a small LED on the front. It lights up when you inhale, but there’s no color indicator for battery levels.
Performance
The OSMALL 2 is a great stealthy MTL vape with a tight, cigarette-like draw and quiet operation, aside from a faint activation click.
Like the original, it wicks high-VG juice well, making it versatile for both freebase and high-nic liquids. The pods last a long time, especially with freebase e-liquids.
Flavor is clean and accurate, with a warm but never hot vape. The durable coils handle various juice ratios and chain vaping with ease.
Unlike the original, the OSMALL 2 has minimal leaking—only if overfilled, which is easily wiped away. There’s no gurgling, spitting, or popping.
Battery life and charging
The OSMALL 2 charges in about 45 minutes via Type-C and supports pass-thru charging. Its battery capacity is upgraded to 450 mAh, a 29% boost from the original, offering longer use between charges.
The small LED is discreet but not very informative—it only flashes when the battery dies and stays lit while charging, turning off when full. There’s no way to check battery levels mid-use.

CONCLUSION
I’m excited about the OSMALL 2—it’s an upgrade, not a redesign. It still wicks any juice, has durable coils, and offers a simple, portable MTL experience.
The metal body with a ripple texture feels great, adding style without being flashy. Improved leak protection fixes a major flaw of the original, and the larger battery with Type-C charging is a plus.
With minimal drawbacks, the OSMALL 2 perfectly suits my high-nic, stealthy MTL vaping style, making it a go-to device for me.
