The Geekvape S100 (Solo 2) is a rugged, IP68-rated box mod that delivers up to 100W of power and comes paired with the Geekvape Z 2021 sub-ohm tank. It’s similar to the M100 but uses a single external 18650 battery instead of a built-in one.
Geekvape is known for reliability, and the S100 continues that trend. I’ll share my first impressions, thoughts on the tank, and my final verdict. For details on build quality and performance, check out my M100 review.

First impressions
I’ve reviewed nearly every Aegis mod, and the S100 sticks to the winning formula. It’s almost identical to the M100, with the main difference being the use of an external 18650 battery. I received the black-on-black version, which has a sleek triple-black design with no silicone exterior—giving it a cleaner, more distinct look.
Like the rest of the Aegis line, the S100 is stylish, durable, and user-friendly. It delivers exactly what you’d expect from Geekvape—no surprises, just solid performance.
Geekvape Z 2021 tank rundown
The kit includes the Geekvape Z 2021 sub-ohm tank, which uses Z coils and features a few minor design tweaks. It has a 5 mL capacity, top airflow to reduce leaks, and a quarter-turn top cap for easy refills. The coils are plug-and-play, and the tank uses a standard 810 Delrin drip tip.
Coil replacement is simple but a bit tricky without tools—it’s best to use the included tool or a flathead screwdriver. You can swap coils with the tank half full, but empty is ideal. One downside: the top cap can sometimes remove the airflow ring too. This was improved in the Z Nano 2 tank that comes with the M100.
There are four coil options in total:
A Geekvape Z0.4 coil rated 50-60 watts
A Geekvape Z0.2 coil rated 70-80 watts
Geekvape Z0.25 dual coil rated 45-57 watts
Geekvape Z0.15 coil rated 80-90 watts
The kit includes two coils: the Z0.2 and Z0.25. The Z0.2 performed best at 70W but took a full tank to break in and only lasted about 55 mL—below average. The Z0.25 was slightly better in flavor at 50W but had the same limited lifespan. Overall, both coils are just average, which is typical for kit-included coils.
Pros and Cons
Pros
Cons
Great build quality
Nice finish on the mod
Nice leather backing
Accurately rated for watts and volts
Boost circuit
Good amp limit
Good power mode performance
Nice 510 pin
Large clear and bright color screen
Included tank is just meh overall
Tank coils require a tool to remove them
CONCLUSION
Like other Aegis mods, the S100 is solid with no major flaws. It’s nearly identical to the M100, just with an external battery. If you prefer that setup, this one’s a great choice. The tank is average—like most kit tanks—so you’re better off pairing the mod with a tank of your own. Still, if you’re looking for a reliable new mod, the S100 is definitely worth considering.
